From a very young age I got into serious drug use. I left home at age 16, and lead a dangerous life of drugs and
promiscuous encounters. Well, after using these drugs for 6 years I got pregnant with my 1st child. I was in a relationship at the time and living with
him ( I married him a few months after our son was born), but because of the drugs
I did not know I was pregnant until I was 4 months along.
My doctor had warned me that the child may be drug addicted or even brain damaged. I quit the day I found out. I still had to go through the painful withdraws, but I did make it. My son was a
born a little late, but he was 9 lbs 11 oz and as healthy as can be.
I was ill, during my c-section they found out I had Hepatitis C.
I did a lot of praying all those months for a healthy baby and reading my Bible to learn God's word. The Hepatitis C does not affect me any
more. I prayed that God would heal me.
I am still so thankful for what God has done for me. My son is now 8 and a normal child. I am still married, 8 years now,
and we have been blessed with two more children. I know that without God I would never
have stopped using drugs, neither would my husband. And we would of never made it
together, this far.
