Frugal Cleaning and Organizing

Lately, I have been focusing more energy on cleaning and reorganizing our home.  I started by signing up for FlyLady.  She has a list at yahoo groups, with over 31,000 subscribers.  Each day, she encourages us to make our sink shine and to get off our "frannies."  She has been where I am with a messy home and has reclaimed hers.  So now she is off to help others.

In an effort to help the children with their chores, I also found some really cool charts on the Internet for them.  If you are looking for a specific checklist, this page might just have it.  They have some for potty training, taking medications and a whole lot more.

You can find charts on this page to print up, that have chore lists for different ages of children.  It really gave me some good ideas.  Our children are capable of doing more than we sometimes give them credit for.

If you want to come up with your own charts, this page has some blank charts you can use.  They have some blank charts that have 8, 12, or 16 slots.  You can either use one chart per child or you could decide to use one chart for each challenge in your home.  For example our family is working on getting everyone's teeth brushed twice a day.  So we  have one chart just for keeping track of tooth brushing.

To make your charts reusable, you could cover them in clear contact paper and use dry erase markers, washable markers or grease pens on them.  Then they can be wiped clean and reused many times.

I have been organizing and saving money using resources I have found on the Internet.  The Internet has been such a big help to me in my life.  It can help with almost any challenge you can come up with.
