God Still Performs Miracles

YES,
God still DOES perform miracles!! I am writing today with
praises to God for the miracles my family has witnessed in the life and
healing of our daughter Tricia. On February 20th 2001 our 16 year old
daughter Tricia pulled out in front of a school bus and was hit on the drivers
side of her car. She was airlifted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA with
severe brain trauma.
For approximately 3 weeks she battled with extreme brain
swelling and other complications! We were told on more than one occasion
to prepare ourselves as she probably wouldn't make it.
The prayers offered up for Tricia were overwhelming to say
the least. People all across this country and beyond, were being offered
up in Tricia's behalf. Some of these people we knew but more of them we
did not! There is definitely power in prayer because Tricia DID pull through but
not only did she pull through, she surpassed ALL predictions of what her
recovery would be.
What we were told may be years for her to recover, if she
recovered, has only taken 5 months! Not only the physical recovery,
but her mental recovery as well. Tricia's last day in rehab is today,
Friday, the 13th day of July 2001 and we celebrate our Heavenly Father for the
miraculous blessings He has poured out upon us !!
Tricia has done amazingly well in her recovery! She
has gained back all her weight plus some, her long term memory is in tact and
her short term memory is almost completely restored. Her limp is virtually
gone and her scars are fading but will always be a gentle reminder of Gods
goodness!
She is so excited to not have to "get up early &
go off to school" during what she sees as her time to be off for summer
vacation. Tricia will enter HS in the fall on schedule as a Senior! She
will get extra help because of her brain injury, because she missed the last 4
months of her Junior year and because her biggest hurdle is sequential memory
problems (like learning and remembering steps to solve a math problem or a story
problem etc)!
But, if you didn't know her before you'd never know by
seeing her and talking to her now that she had ever been through what she has!
Thank you EVERYONE for all your love, your support, your
kind words and especially your prayers through all this! Because of
you ALL and because of your PRAYERS, God listened, heard and performed these
amazing miracles for our family & especially for a very special & sweet
17 yr old young woman!!
Through her healing she has become a living witness to Him
and His glory and grace and love to the lives of people who may have never
otherwise been touched!
