Days End
by Diane Sample

When darkness comes and shades of night
Draw softly o'er the world,
The cares and trials of this long day
Curtainlike unfurl.

The things I've said; the wrongs I've done
Before me silently
Pass through the channels of my mind
To remind me of my need.

And so I come to Heaven's throne
To bow my head in prayer.
Confess my sins and be restored;
Relieved of every care.

For Jesus paid the price for all
Who'd humbly come repent.
He knows how quick we are to fall
And how our strength is spent.

From nail scarred hands He offers us
Hope for each new day.
From outstretched hands He reaches out
To guide along the Way.

He said that He would never leave
His promise He bestows;
Assurance blessed, mercies new
From Heaven faithful flows.

Alleluia a-a-men!
What glorious victory!
A song of joy rings in my heart
He loves even me!

What a wonderful Savior He has been to me. Feb 25 is my born again birthday 1971. On March 3 I will be 61, and He really does get sweeter as the days go by.
