I Am

I follow no man’s rant or creed,
My will you cannot break…
I won’t be led down twisted paths,
My life you will not take.

For it’s within myself that I
Have learned where madness dwells…
In hearts of men refusing light
And insight it unveils.

Scientific answers found
Cannot prove right or wrong…
When scholar minds neglect the truth
The soul’s known all along.

I need no confirmation to
Explain from whence I came…
Created by divinity,
This God with many names.

And I will not deny the truth
My inner eyes behold…
My inner peace cannot be bought,
My soul cannot be sold.

I break down logic, watch it bend
And move beyond the lines…
My faith gives me the wings to fly
Above all man confines.
