Today And Tomorrow

For every mile I've walked,

When I felt I couldn't stand.

For every time I fell,

And you reached out your hand.

For every time I felt,

I couldn't face another day.

Until I fell down on my knees,

To seek your face and pray.

For all the days and nights,

That I have cried out in distress.

For bearing all my burdens,

When my soul could find no rest.

I thank you for reminding me,

That in this life we live...

We're guided by your unseen hands,

If our lives to you we give.

For each and every time,

That I have ever felt alone.

You showed me you were there with me,

Though not with flesh and bone.

But in a way so mighty,

That the darkness even fears.

You light my way through sadness,

As you bottle up my tears.

No tear is ever wasted,

For through them my eyes can see.

Far beyond this mortal life,

To the gates of eternity.

So when I feel compelled,

To sit and drown in sorrow...

Remind me once again Dear Lord,

You've made a new tomorrow!
