A State Of Health

So many people look at pregnancy as a "condition," a state of fragility. While it is true that pregnancy is a "condition" it is also a state of health. After all a woman's body has to be in some sort of healthy condition for pregnancy to occur in the first place.  Women were created to give birth.  Our bodies are made especially for the wonderful process of pregnancy and childbirth.

Given the fact that pregnancy may restrict certain habits and activities, essentially it is a time of glowing health. If you take your vitamins and eat nutritiously during your pregnancy you will be a picture of health and as a result bring forth a healthy human being.  Occasionally, there will be the high risk pregnancy situation, but normal healthy pregnancies certainly outweigh the problem ones.

Attitude has a lot to do with the outcome of a pregnancy. It is so important to maintain a good attitude toward your body and your unborn baby, even if it’s an unplanned pregnancy.  I have seen many babies who were fussy and irritable and I believe it’s because their mother's resented them during the pregnancy. I truly believe the growing fetus picks up on our attitudes toward them. It is important to think of the baby in good views and treat your body with respect.

Pregnancy is such a miracle from God.  Children are blessings, no matter if we’ve planned for them or if they are a surprise.  View your pregnancy as such and I promise you’ll have a good attitude if you think along these lines.

Think of your pregnancy as a state of good health and not as a condition that brings you down. After all you are creating a brand new human life - so treat it and your body with the respect it deserves.
