Chocolate Bonbons
Submitted by Lois Bruton

With all the different flavorings available, these candies can be made to suit anyone's taste buds. You can even use peppermint flavoring for Christmas. Whatever flavoring you use, you can be sure your guests or family will eat them up.

Ingredients:

2 boxes powdered sugar
1 stick butter, softened
2 c. coconut
1 lb. can Eagle Brand milk
1/2 tsp. almond flavor (or any other flavoring you would like to use - rum, orange, peppermint, amaretto)
2 c. pecans, chopped
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 block paraffin

Directions:

Blend butter and powdered sugar first. Add milk, pecans, flavoring, and coconut. Roll in small balls and put in refrigerator for about 1 hour. Melt chocolate chips and paraffin in double boiler. Stick a toothpick in cold balls and dip in melted chocolate. Cool on waxed paper.
