Microwave Fudge
Submitted by Deborah Bouziden

It's warm outside, so who wants to stand over a hot stove and stir a pan of fudge? Not me. Years ago, my mother started making this fudge for Christmas. It's an easy recipe and since you don't have to stand there stirring the fudge for an hour, you can be off doing something else--like eating it.

Ingredients:

In glass bowl combine...

12 oz. package milk chocolate chocolate chips

8 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk

1 stick (or 1/4 cup) real butter

Directions:

Place in microwave and melt all ingredients, stirring every 90 seconds. When butter and chips are melted, remove from microwave and fold in one pound of chopped nuts. (My mom uses walnuts. I use pecans, sometimes almonds.)

Pour into buttered 9x13 glass cake pan and set in refrigerator to harden. After two to three hours, cut into small pieces and serve.
