Dieter's Buttermilk Biscuits with Fresh Chives

2 c. all purpose flour

1 T. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. sugar
3T. spoons chopped fresh chives
3 T. margarine
3/4 c. plus 1T. non-fat buttermilk
1/4 tsp. paprika
 
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl, cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.  Add buttermilk stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
 
2. Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead lightly 10 to 12 times.  Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness, cut into 21 rounds with a 2 inch cutter
 
3.  Place rounds on an un-greased baking sheet, and sprinkle with paprika.
  
 4. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to `12 minutes.
 
Fat is 2gms per biscuit and 60 calories... not too bad for biscuits!
