Aunt Dorothy's Peach Cobbler
Submitted by Michelle Jones
We can't have a great collection of recipes, including southern classics, without including Peach Cobbler! So, I just e-mailed her and asked if I could share the recipe with y'all, and she said "sure!" Thanks aunt Dorothy, we love you!
Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Enough sliced peaches to line a 10x13 pan or baking dish
Directions:
Spray pan with cooking spray and place fresh fruit (I've used canned and drained too, but of course fresh are better!) in bottom of the pan, leaving room for the crust on top.
Mix the remaining ingredients together to form a crumble topping, and sprinkle over top of fruit. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees, or until top is crispy brown and the pie/cobbler is bubbly.
It's easy and delicious!!
