The Vision - A Ray of Hope on the Surreal Aftermath of the American Tragedy

Sometimes when in prayer God will pour out a vision - a glimpse at a possibility.  I have had such visions while in prayer.  This one came to me last night, as I was praying for the victim's families.

In light of the recent tragedy that befell America Tuesday, September 11, 2001 I have felt a strong pull to a renewed prayer life.  My first reaction was to bow my knees to Almighty God and ask for peace to rain down and for protection of all involved.  It was after this prayer that I desired to roll up my sleeves, dig my heels in and fight back with America – fight for the freedom that our forefathers fought so hard for over 200 years ago.

The phrase “Let Freedom Ring” now holds an even deeper meaning to me, as I sit by day after day glued to the television, hoping and praying that they find one more survivor in the rubble that once were magnificent buildings and landmarks.  I am amazed at the spirit of America, as we’ve pulled together – uniting as one to right this horrible wrong.

I tip my hat to the many businesses both online and off that have taken the time to honor the victims of this horrendous tragedy.  It shows that Americans do care – that we hold human life in high regard.  And, because of this, I am proud to be an American.

As I watched the news unfold last night I witnessed several of the families that are missing loved ones make pleas on TV to hopefully find their dad, husband, wife, mother, - I cried right along with them – having compassion and wishing I could embrace them in this hour of grief.

Alas, all I can do is offer my prayers.  I did just that – found a place to be alone for a moment and as I was praying I began to see a vision - one that literally took me by surprise.  I lifted my hands to God and began to pray about the vision that unfolded before me spiritually.

I saw myself going to these grieving people and embracing them, crying with them.  I saw them confused as to why I, a stranger, would be there.  Then the scene changed as if a huge movie screen suddenly lit up with the new motion picture.  The feeling that began to go through my body literally made my hairs stand on end.  I heard God’s voice say “With Me ALL things are possible.”

I was at the place where the World Trade Centers once stood.    It was night.  Before me lay a massive pile of rubble and behind me wailed the families searching desperately for their lost loved ones.  Suddenly a light illumed the rubble from within.  It was an eerie yet comforting light, the entire crowd hushed and watched.  Slowly – then faster people began to walk up and out of the rubble.  Unscathed, unharmed, restored.  Each person held a grin so huge – and rushed into the crowd and into the arms of their families.  Such reunions took place.

Then I saw the Angels come up with several cages.  It looked like bird cages only they were human size.  Within these cages were the ones responsible for the tragedy.  The Angels said – “These will not go unpunished.”  And away they went.

I stood there after the vision left me – feeling the power of God surging through my body.  I felt like God wanted me to share the vision.  As to what it means – I leave that up to each person to prayerfully ask God and let the Holy Spirit guide us all to understanding.
